Education Department

  • All volunteers are asked to commit to at least 6 months of service, at least once a week for a minimum of three hours per day.
  • All applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

Volunteers for the Education Department will work mostly with material preparation, creating samples for our classes and maintenance of our library.

Due to the many on and off-site workshops, material preparation is essential. Volunteers will help instructors gather materials for various classes and organize materials within the existing storage space.

The Education Department offers an array of art classes and workshops.  In preparation, volunteers will create samples to present to our participants as a final product sample.   This also helps us wrinkle out any glitches in our projects before we provide a final version to our participants.

Lastly, the education department is looking for volunteers to help us catalog our non-circulating library.
